Literature Text

Scream, my dear, scream!
Let out your every broken dream.
The world has done you wrong,
And you can no longer be strong.
They tore you apart
As they shattered your heart,
And I need you to scream
To let me know this is all a bad dream,
But you are gone,
Though I still see you playing on the lawn,
And the pure joy as you played your new guitar,
And I can still see your smile as you washed your new car,
And I can't believe you're not here,
I keep hoping you'll appear.
I need you to prove them wrong,
I know you've been alive all along,
Because you're too young,
Your life has just begun,
You're only a little girl,
Why did they tarnish my pearl?
My little girl, please wake up,
I'll buy you that new make up.
My baby girl, they did you wrong,
How am I supposed to stay strong?
My baby girl, why aren't you here?
Please don't disappear,
Daddy's back home waiting,
And he promises to accept any guy you are dating,
So please wake up, baby girl,
Please wake up.
I won't lie, I cried when I wrote this.
